Re: UK Taylorcraft web
Thanks bob it is up and running now. I havde another question . Did you use the Harer STC. I would like to have it on mine but don't want the long mount or the big bagage compt. Also is that D window frame on yourairplane a original factory instalation? I have one and would like to use it.
Thanks

Re: UK Taylorcraft web
I didn't use the Harer STC, I used my own design that was approved here in the UK. But from my experience on this forum, it's worth getting the STC from Bob Harer...his contact details are readily available.
The D windows were as the aircraft came from the USA in the late eighties. I think they are pre-war D-Frames (judging from the cut-outs for the tubes, that don't fit in the post-war fuselage). But they look nice, and they are what we are used to, so I re-used them.
Hope this helps.

Re: UK Taylorcraft web
Thanks Bob.
I slowly figured it ou but just wanted to make sure. What I would really like is to find the correct D window for my 1946 BC12D. So far no luck on this forum. I have searched the threads in vain.
Where are you located in the UK . I restore Austin Healey's and Mini coopers . I have owned a booth at Bealieu near South Hampton for 12 years. My friends and I have stayed in the same B&B Pub for the last 12 years. We will be there in Sept. Unfortuanatly we lost our Pub. A free House . They sold out.
Thanks again.

Re: UK Taylorcraft web
The resident experts on this forum on Healeys and Mini Coopers are ALL based in the US of A...I strongly suggest you ask in the "Raves" part on these lovely old cars.
To me, they're just means of transport to the airport...I'll stick with my old jalopy.
I'm In Leicester, about 150 miles from Southampton (but a pain to get to). You'd be welcome to a flight in our machine if you can get near hear.
Bealieu is a wonderful place.
