  • Prop ???????

I just moved into my hangar with my F19 project. A neighbor came over and asked if I needed a prop for my project. I said I did, and he gave me a Sensenich 7455 aluminum prop for free!! It was covered in dust, but appears to never been used or installed. Could I used this prop on the F19 with an O200 or O235? Or did I get a real nice wall ornament? Thanks for any input.

The sencenich 74 inch prop with a 36 thru 48 pich is the preferd prop here in alaska. with the 85, 90 and 100 hp cont. It dosnt cost that much to repitch a prop. It is a great seaplane prop. A 74 inch sensenich is about 2800 new
I paid 1000 for mine with about 800 hrs on it 10 years ago. feild approvals are the norm for that prop.

Usually the prop shop only wants to do them three times, and no more than about 4 in from original.

            Re: Prop ???????

Sensenich allows for 8" total pitch change, I have a 74CK46 repitched to 43 inch and I can climb over 800 fpm with it and cruise at 95 knots at 2550 rpm, when it was at 46 pitch I cruised at 90 knots and could not get 2550... sensenich told me they will not provide data for 74 inch prop on an O-200, so if anyone has a 337, I would sure love a copy.
