Re: POH for BC-12D
welcome new guy , they don't have a "Flight Manual".
These aircraft were certified under CAR 3a & 4 not FAR 23 and use the "Operations Limitations" ; (that beat up piece of paper under your airworthiness & registration certificates. ) AND placards and markings on the instruments. keep asking questions we will be kind to you!Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc

Re: POH for BC-12D
that is one of our technical resources, ( www.taylorcraft.org ) Ernie Stadvec with Essco is a close neighbor & he & I have collaborated many times in the past to come up with good information. He compiled good information and labeled it as a "Flight Manual" it starts out with the ATC 696 and goes from there.
Get it ...... I think they have moved the operation to Ca. but the local numbers and addresses still work.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc

Is it possible to get a copy of the "Operations Limitations" or to scan an original and post it on the web?

Re: POH for BC-12D
Hi Jim, go to the home page of the Foundation and click on the Technical resources button and find Type certificate data A696. Search through it and find the BC12 - D information there. Or, you can go to the FAA home page and search for the Type certificate data also.
As was mentioned in other posts, look at the placarding on the aircraft. Find a flight instructor who is qualified in a T-Craft and go have fun!
Airspeed control is the most important thing to get a handle on. The T-Craft wants to fly, so it needs to be slowed down to make a proper landing. Don't be afraid to ask questions, we are all "student pilots" here and we all learn from each other.David and Judy

Yes I am aware of the type certificate data. What I am interested in is what the document that originally came with the plane when new looked like. It is my understanding that there was an operation limitations document. I agree totally with the point on airspeed, even though I have approximately 800 hours on my T if I get sloppy on the speed she will let me know every time.
Cheers

Re: POH for BC-12D
Bless you, I have been putting out fires last week and now this one too. I was going to scan mine but the scanner took a dump. Got another one today. IF it storms tomorrow, I will do special tools & the Operations Limitations that is a "Required Document" when you go fly.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc

Re: POH for BC-12D
Current? they were issued with the airplane when built, that is recorded with the FAA at Oak city , I get most of them off the CD of the records. THEN any changes are ( wt & balance, etc.) done at the time of any 337 or entered into the aircraft maintenance records ( log books) . THAT little piece of paper is REQUIRED to be in aircraft when operated.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc
