      Taylorcraft Reunion & Fly-In @ Alliance

Robert Lees... Great ! Smashing to hear you will be attending the Alliance event in July ! I'm looking forward to seeing you. I'm developing some plans to get 'over the pond' and get some footage of Tcraft and the Auster for the documentary I have in production. Any insights/suggestions you may have are greatly appreciated ! Thanks... G. Kent Brown...

              Taylorcraft Flyin

I know Forest works hard pulling this off each year. But if Braceville can help we will!! We are about 16 miles north of Barber field and have a paved 3000 foot strip. We have a HolidayInn Express less than a mile from the airport and have a crew room that has a sink area and sleeping for about 4. We have 3 taylorcrafts based on the field. The code is 43OH and is listed as a private field.
Anyone interested I will give lat and long.

WE have many events each year and use the Aeronca site for travel arrangments. The Taylorcraft Owners Club has blocked rooms once in a while in the past or had a hospitality room for showers etc... WE have a shower on the field but it gets crowded, IT has been discussed in the past to expand the showers like they do at Brodhead ...... maybe it can happen someday....... www.oaafly-in.com for the arrangements.

                    Alliance Reunion

                    Rob:

Talked with David Bloomberg today at Hampton, ref his e-mail and offer of conveyance to Alliance. Sounds like it may be workable, but you may have to fly Tina T-Craft home to MA alone (I knew you'd hate that aspect of the deal)

Fred (Rex) and Barbara going together.........

Saw Mike Sargent today too.........he's going with his dad.

Now if we can get Mike Mertinooke and perhaps Miles Dunn...........

Scott's out. Still grounded for paperwork

Bruce's working on putting together a newly majored C-85

Traci should be ready by then...I think Kristie is coming with me.......

                    Should be fun!!!!

                      CaptJon:

I'm in, we'll work out the details later.

                      Rob

p.s. Forrest, I'm still looking for your runway extension to bring my (privately-owned) Concorde in.

I saw the note someplace on the board that you are going to do a wing rebuild session. I will be there with my digital camera. It will be nice to see the guts of one that is at least sort of stock :-) Frankenplane's new fabric is coming along very slowly.

Vehicle of choice will probably be my beater hyundai. If I drive that out I can buy airplane parts with the money that I save on gas for the F-150.

I can bring shirts if anyone wants to do a pickup at the fly in.

                            Fly-in

If I just land in (figuratively speaking--my plane is grounded as usual), will I be able to pitch a tent on the field? Are there facilities enough for all (I note there's only one shower--no problem, I was in the Army)? Is there a site to go to to find out the agendas etc and what the skinny is?
