    Like this?

Having moved my fuselage to the airport just 5 days ago, I can get the dimensions this weekend...

...having said that, it might be easier to make one like I did to suit the actual dimensions you require. It would be very annoying for you to make one and then find it didn't fit.

        George,

My project plane has came with cardboard gloveboxes that are slightly longer than Rob's. His suggestion of just making yours to fit sounds like good advice. If I had to do mine over again, I would make them about an inch longer than they are now. That way a sectional chart would fit nicely.

The guy I bought the project from said he had the boxes made from a company he found in a hot rod magazine. They are black cardboard about the thickness of nickel.

Yes, if I were to do them again I would make them a little longer.

Thanks again for all the input. Made a pateern last night from posterboard, I think a longer one would work just right. George

Attaboy...just as long as you like, before the outside edge hits the boot cowl..

..incidentally, it sits quite flat and nicely on a tang on the forward tubing...you could even screw it down for the negative g manoeuvers!

                Re: Glove Box

I made mine longer (from a thick black card stock from an auto restoration place) and other than being new and longer they looked just like the originals. One minor problem to watch out for. I had to trim the length a little because they hit the controls in some positions. Move the controls through the full range for a clearance check before you screw everything down. Mine are still long enough for a sectional.
