When you buy aluminum sheets, sometimes it comes with plastic sheeting adhered to it for protection. I was given some very old aluminum sheet that I can’t get that protective plastic off short of sanding it off.
At our builder's group Thursday night I demonstrated how to remove the plastic from the skins the easy way. Everybody was impressed & you should have seen the jaws drop when they saw how easy it is.
Peel back about an inch of plastic. Tape that plastic to a pipe, broomstick, or whatever you...
I have used heat to help. You might also try some paint and adhesive remover. Once you get to the point it breaks instead of stretching a little it becomes problematic.
