I think we have a real ssue . On the Facebook Taylorcraft site Terry Bowden reported his bungies started to sag after only a year or so. They have green stripes. Another person. Reported in with the same thing. Before everyone goes out and tries to purchase/hoard these from distributors realize they are probably going to be old and not much good. Reason I am saying this is I have been trying to call the MFG ...SBC industries for the past month and have left multiple messages which have gone un answered. I hope they just are not momentarily there and only open up the plant intermittently for runs...not answering the phone (although it is connected!) Bodes question particularly when coupled to what appears to be the sale of old stock!

On the bright albeit dark side... it appears to be increasingly uncommon for any North American organization, public or private, to answer the phone and return calls!
Maybe it's just me
Having said that, the demographic reality is that small privately held businesses are not attractive to younger generations. There's not good margins available in what is almost exclusively a private GA market. Let's hope that a relativley large entity, like Univair, picks up the manufacturing. But expect a big price increase if and when it happens.
Not just aviation going through this evolution. Everything from decent clothing to Cross & Blackwell mince is going the way of the dodo bird ðŸ¦

We can only hope that Univair will keep us supplied, Wag Aero has diminished probably largely do to the demographic of the labor market and supply issues, I do not think it is so much the lack of interest in the Antique and older aircraft demands, maybe slightly but not enough to affect the interest in parts. Thank goodness for Aircraft Spruce picking up some of that, There is no shortage of experimental aircraft.
