  • F-22A nose gear issues

Hello All, I am trying to get information on the model F-22A nose gear; any information, such as part number, drawings, or even if it is known that the nose gear assembly from another aircraft was used during manufacturing.
I am an A&P mechanic, not a pilot nor a Taylorcraft owner, but the local Flying Club has a F-22A with nose gear issues. I do not know what the issues are, but I do know they have been talking about the possibility of replacing the whole nose gear assembly; or having a new one manufactured (one of the members is machinist by trade). I plan on attending their monthly meeting tonight, and will try to get more information as to the problem with the nose gear.

    Thank you.

Not many Taylorcraft around with nose wheels. I don't know about Taylorcraft, but the tricycle gear Maule seems to shares some common parts with the Piper Cherokee. I would expect Taylorcraft to be similar.

If you find out I am sure it would be good information to add to the data files. Afraid I have never even seen a tri gear "T" in anything but photos. They are pretty rare. Anyone with photos to share, especially of the gear itself, I am sure would be of interest to many here.
