He is in my database and listed as a 1942 BC12-65 Deluxe. From some research it looks like Taylorcraft built (I think) 12 1942 Deluxe planes for the 1942 production lead in 41 but the government advised all manufacturers that there would not be a 42 production run (some kind of problem in the Pacific in the first week of December ;-) ). If someone knows Donald I would REALLY like to get in touch with him as he may own a very rare plane! He was in Colorado and the plane was NC-53500. There were a few changes made to the 12 planes and their paperwork that identifies them. I have NO photos of her and would love to get some, especially old photos!

Mike, we gotta talk! Do you by chance have a copy of the original TC with the NC number on it? Heading to the airport today to work on the 45 but should be back late this afternoon.

39125. never flew with that number. Was delivered from factory directly to Air Corp in OD paint as an L2-J or which ever one had the franklin. When it was relicensed after WW2 it got the 53500 number. Also never had a permanent airworthiness until I restored it. Was parked in 55 or 56 right before they went from caa to faa.
