So I m now to the point of bringing out the all bearing Ralmark pulleys I purchased from the Luscome foundation as my new cables should be in this week and fuselage tubes in interior areas about to recieve the final coat of aerothane Sun Valley Ivory. Was surprised to see the new pulleys are not the same width (will require washers) more over the grooves are not as deep. Anyone else used these? The depth or lack there of is really bugging me. It is significant.

I would think doubtfully the groove ALL wore out exactly the same depth and very much deeper . Am I really missing this? If so wow . Those suckers are worn! You probably know better than I do is the truth. As far as adding washers to make up the width not concerned. More worried that the new ones were deep enough.....Last edited by Jim Herpst; 10-22-2022, 20:37.

I replaced my originals with those ball bearing ones. Much better control feel. The old 1941 pulleys had grooves worn in them matching the lay of the cable strands, and the bushing to pulley contact was worn-loose. Washers were used as inter-pulley or pulley-bracket shims.
