A BC-65 wouldn't have had a filter or fairing originally. If you want to add one you could probably get it from Wing's Metal Works, but realize it may not fit your cowling perfectly.
When I rebuilt my 1946 BC12-D, I reverted to the original unfiltered airscoop that it was delivered with. Mainly for appearance, but also for increased airflow into the carburettor, and increased structural integrity of the lower (chin) cowl.
^^^ Above: old lower chin cowl on the left; new one on the right.
^^^ Much cleaner lines.
Having said all that, I believe Wenglarz (spelling?) have made reproductions of the fairing you need if you go that route.
' I"ve spent the last couple of weeks making one and a lot of scrap. I would be glad to share my errors and lessons to help you make one more efficiently. Message my one for my phone number if you want to discuss.
