Did you all end up getting a group buy together? I'd rather pitch in over placing an order with spruce or univair here soon.

Who is leading the effort this time? Chuck and I did it last time but Chuck doesn't been have a T any more (he is still a friend of all things Taylorcraft but no longer has his plane). I don't mine giving some guidance to whoever is picking up the wand, but i won't be coordinating this time.

Actually, I'll help and lead if we can get enough people together. Give me a few days and I'll post back here with prices and a plan.

          Hey All,

It's looking a bit more expensive that I thought it would. Just got off the phone with David at SBC - we were quoted at $19.57/ea at 50 pieces, plus another 42 for shipping to me... so about $20.41 per shock cord ring. Is this something anyone is interested in? If so I'll set up a link so we can get an order together.

          EDIT: 9010HD cords

            Pete,

I'm not participating in this buy but I just want to say thank you for taking up the torch. I hope enough owners sign up.

Pre war model B takes a 9090 cord. I'm not sure what the model A takes.

Why the two different cords...Pre and Post War? Is the truss different? Some Pre-War Taylorcrafts like mine have STC SA1-210 that allows a higher gross weight (1280 or 1500 for example). Not arguing just curious. I think one cord is longer (?)

It is my understanding that the truss is different. The 9010's on a pre war will sag prematurely. The cord diameter is the same, so they should support the same weight.

Yes I agree re the sagging....my Pre-War with 9010HDCW sagged in a year. Not bad but noticeable. I'll plan on a replacement with 9090's. Also I've read that Forrest recommended the same cords. Thank you for the help.

Peterroy Thanks- I'm hoping we can get something worked out for everyone interested. I figured this was something easy I could do to help the community.

Hey All, SBC quoted us at $19.57/ea at 50 pieces, plus another 42 for shipping to me- so about $20.41 per shock cord ring. Please fill out and submit this form if you are interested in ordering cords for your tcraft. At this time, this form is only to gauge interest and see if we can make the total quantity we need for the order. I'd like to place this order by early march. If we reach 50+ pieces then I'll send out paypal links to everyone for payment, and soon place the order after. I am uncertain on shipping for everyone at this time, but anticipate it to be at around $10, or under.

I replaced the bungees on my F-19 with 9010HDCW, and I also noticed sagging almost immediately. She's a bit portlier than the average T. Should I be getting 9090s?

Anyone comment on experience with HD vs HDCW?
