Hamp Safestart

Does anyone have the Hamp Safestart system? I have found information with Google but still not clear on how the pinion is engaged. Does it have a Bendix ? It seems to be the only game in town...

Type 'hamp' in the search box, there have been a few threads in the past. The drill is mounted so as to pivot with the pulling action of a cable in the cabin, engaging the switch and moving the starter gear forward through a hole cut in the nose bowl to engage the gear on the prop, if I recall.

Does your A65-9 have the accessory case ?

Yes the accessories case is there, jut no starter or gear
