  • Who are the most TCraft-savvy A&Ps in Alaska?

There are almost as many F19s registered in Alaska (41) as the other 49 states combined (47). Even so, TCraft-savvy A&Ps are hard to find. Who is doing your maintenance?

    Best,
    Doug

Me. I have a couple of A&Ps and a couple of IAs who will look over my shoulder and make sure I don't kill myself.

Larry Draveling at wolf Lake Aero, the Alsworths if the are still around...The Alsworths came up with the adjustable seat mod, and running a Lycoming, and using cub type gear...but I think they have retired or died off. Danny Clum is a relation of some kind, but I dont know all of their family history. Taylorcraft used some of their designs in the F-21/22 airplanes. Tim

Thanks for the feedback. I've done a fair amount of my own maintenance over the years, but, like Hank says, it's good to have a pro looking over your shoulder. Also, the contortions required to access some critical spaces aren't as fun as they used to be. I think I met Danny Clum at Pt Alsworth a while back with a 150 HP TCraft with flaps, an object of acute
TCraft envy. Well, it's time for an annual on the family Crate, and it looks like Russ Brown can help us out. Thanks for the info and suggestions.
