I also fabric the bays for the attach fittings before installing them, cover the rest of the aileron, add the brush, spray, put holes in, install mounts, check for tight every year. Tim

Not that I would use them, but if I were I would use the type that are attached with nails instead of the folded barbs like those.

A lot of wet varnish when you put them in...and the ones with brads can twist and shear off the brads. I also see a lot of ailerons with the ends open, they just fold the fabric over into the rib and leave the bays open to everything. Tim

From years of modeling I have had the barbed ones twist in the wood and also shear the barbs.
