Scott, you blog notes that you plan to use the upper grommets on the LH elevator for service if needed. How do you intend those to help when you have the lower access cutouts?

Just one of those just in case addition Mark. What I did was mark the locations of the clevis pins with the trim in a position where the pins can be removed. I put a grommet in each location. No intention of opening them unless there is a need to drive out the pins or something.

It had AN3 bolts with the heads shaved down when I took it apart. I used clevis pins which have higher shear strength but provide clearance without grinding the heads off.
