Bungee tools

I am no longer making the bungee tools.

If anyone is interested in taking up that work I could make a good deal on the jig and fixtures. Call or send me a PM.

A large welding machine is needed. I use a 255amp MIG machine to make them.

I can't do it (I'm no welder!) but my friend who is trying to get set up to get the fixtures to repair landing gears may be. Can you email me with details and I will pass it on to him.

I have 3, I like Dave made, one I bought from an old time Tcraft guy made from a converted car jack & one I made of pipe fittings & nipples in a pinch & all worked fine.

I have done the bungees with a Comanche tool. Then I got one of Dave's tools and never looked back. It does a complete job with all the details.

Hi Hank sorry to say that the gear jig and gear are at the scrap metal.

I sold that house in mid February and had to get it cleaned out for the sale.

I got one call from your friend maybe in Nov. or Dec. of 2017 but never got a second call from your friend to arrange pick up the stuff and had to clean up for the closing.

I haven't heard from him lately either. So sad to hear he didn't work out. He is a great welder and this looked like a match made in heaven. Wish I was a welder, I would have taken them in a heart beat (if I had a truck to carry them!)

Yes it can be, its heavy but only about 18" x 4" x 14", maybe 35 lbs.

Thanks to whoever got the tooling. We lost the landing gear fixture, but the bungee tool was saved. We can't afford to loose tooling. It is too hard to re-create.
