It seems Chuck in TN. used those baffles when he put the C-85 in his tcraft and he had pictures, it's been several years ago, but a search may bring them up, gary

I'm pretty sure cvavon used them in his rebuild. Hunt around in there, I know he had some pictures through those posts.

I found chucks, but I am interested in the part that goes between the carb spider and case...and the inter cylinder baffles.

Tim, I borrowed the alum. piece from a guy the other day...the piece your referring to. I could take some pix and some measurements. Give me a call. Dick 907-398-6943 It's only 10 p.m. here.

I installed the airform baffles when I did the 85 conversion. I had to make the baffle that goes between the spider and the lower case. Here are a couple pics.

                Tim,

I didn't make a pattern because the part was made on a form with very soft aluminum. The form was loaned to me and I sent it back. The part is actually 2 pieces of metal, the formed piece and then a flat piece I bent and riveted on. I do have the pattern for the bent piece.

I do, but I am trying to find a long term solution for those who will need them in the future. My original is really beat up. What do yo have to have for it?

Greg, what would you need for a copy of the pattern? I need to make one custom because my cowling is custom...

                    Thanks All, Tim

My 65hp 1946 Taylorcraft has this. I would guess this was standard for all 65hp Aeroplanes not just the 85hp conversions.

I just need an address. I'll make another cardboard copy of it and send you one.

Tim, I don't know if you have seen these pix...but if you go to views 177 through 183 on this blog link http://c-fclr.blogspot.ca/p/firewall-forward.html there are some pretty good ideas.

If you click on the top pix and then scroll through to 177 thru 183, you can see what I'm referring to.

Tim I did not use the bottom baffle i also blocked the center hole in the nose bowl the baffles from airforms are very tight and i made a block off across under the crank shaft hub witch forced all the air over the top of the engine and out threw the bottom oil temps here in the south summer with 90 deg temp were under 200 always chts were around 290 to 310 it worked like a pressure cowl and got rid of all that clutter on the bottom of the engine. I dont have a photo of the baffle i made but it closed off the opening below the crank hud fron left to right it was made out of aluminum and rubber like the rest of the baffles so no air goes down it all goes up over the top
