i took an older 410 Snake Charmer i have and turned a 22 Hornet barrel to slip into the 410 barrel so now it will shot all 410 loads and a 22 Hornet working on the sights. Made up a OD canvas roll up bag so you just pitch a bag about 18x5x2 inches in the sling and off you go.
Hank, RE snake problem. How about a long-handled shovel.
DC
If you ever saw the Cotton Mouths around here you would see why I want a gun. I don't want to get close enough to use a shovel. Hope I never need it. Most say they will leave if you don't present a threat to them, but the only ones I have ever seen were pretty aggressive. Same with the Coperheads.
I will go the other way if they will, but if they start coming towards me I want to waste him from a distance. I don't believe in fighting fair.

You need to post some photos of that! Sounds really neat.
Hope the pics work, i have an assortment of shells in the bag,71/2-buckshot and slugs, and the 22 Hornet. The airforce gave the crews a fold up 410/22 Hornet to carry in the planes incase they were forced down. The Hornet ammo had a label stating they they were for us for taking food not to be used against humans. They were called a M6 crew survival rifle. You might be interested in the Savage M42 takedown gun,it is a 410/22 comes with a bag to store it in pretty light weight and short takedown, it would do wonders on the snakes. I live in Dallas TX. And last year while i was weedeating i stired up a copperhead, it will increase the blood pressure. I keep an old Remington model 6 leaning against the tree with CCI CB longs, very quite in the neighbor hood.
