Its finally over!

Well I finished my Doctorate a week and a half ago, now I can get back to having a life and working on airplanes again....

It's not like getting married, when you go home with someone new, the next day is just like the last one, but I can put those 2 little letters in front of my name now! Dr. Popp is here to stay.

Working on doing 2 annuals now, I really hate retracts! They are a lot of work just to go a little faster....Tim

Are you going to stay in Utah? Any ideas on how to apply your new Doctorate?

I am having a sinking spell on my PhD- finishing my last class next week, but no inertia to move into the dissertation... I gotta get it in gear.

Well staying motivated was hard, I did my dissertation, 223 pages total with 175 with content. Longer than most of what they want to see now days at the university I was at, but now I need to make some money to get my reserve cash back up. I am so stress free now, but I still need to publish my dissertation, that will cost about $2k by the time I pay for an editor and get it bound. There is hope, Mike, just dont give up.

I looked at a job tonight, field service rep for F-15's in Saudi Arabia...sounds interesting.

Dr. Tim,
That is a major feat to write such a long dissertation. I am moving sideways on my research question and that is affecting everything. I was pretty focused on what I wanted to do until last fall and got into a qualitative research class that got me going down a different rabbit hole. I am too deep in the pile to walk away, so I have to reset my focus on getting er done. I need to get my chair to give a little guidance, that's what shes there for!

Good prospects await on your job hunt- that load removed opens up a world of possibilities!

And I was just thinking it will be nice to finish CF-CLR..... and have a life again.

I know how you feel. I did a Master's while working full time and trying not to miss my kids early years. Huge relief and wonderful sense of achievement. Congratulations!

How do I get a copy of your Dissertation...digital perhaps? I recall the interview topic and good visit we had in my garage.

Now on to a Post Doc as that's the trend today. Or just go fly the Taylorcraft.

My dissertation was on "Cold Weather Error Management" its a Doctorate of Management from Colorado Technical University. And I have no school debt, my work paid for most of it. Not many can be called Dr. without having any student loans....Tim

Yeah, I wasn't selected. Security clearance was administratively terminated in '12
