  • Seat Sling/Seatbelts

Hi, restoring N95132 hasn't flown since 1964. I've always had Aeroncas never a Taylorcraft before and no one in the area to look at.....my Taylorcraft has field approved Piper PA-20 seats in it...want to install original sling seat to save weight. Can I get pictures of how the sling seat attaches to the tubing, how is the seat tied off in baggage area where it forms the 90 degree angle to transition from seat to backrest? where seat belts are bolted to and how the front of the sling seat is attached to the forward crossmember where landing gear bungees are attached? Thanks

    Re: Seat Sling/Seatbelts

    here you go:

More pics and some tips here (you'll need to scroll way down to "October 2015"):

I'd say the two most easy traps are a. mixing up the left and right side rods and b. not putting the seat-belt attach rings around the tube. Better explanation with the pics

Might be good time to install should harness along with the seat belts while you are doing this work.
