Best of 2016 Taylorcraft photos

December is here, so as usual, some photos of your flying year please.

The rules:

Only one picture per post, please, but you can post as often as you like.

The pictures must have been taken in 2016. The pictures must either contain a Taylorcraft or be taken from a Taylorcraft (we trust your honesty).

The pictures do not have to be yours, but proper photo credit must be given and you must have permission to post the photo if they are not yours.

Anything larger then 1024 wide will be deleted, edited or scrummaged, at my discretion.

And while it is not required it's always nice if you post a little bit of info along with your picture. What, where when, who and how...

It was my pleasure to see it at the VAA Barn at Oshkosh. Not my cup of tea, as it happens, but a beautiful example of the type, and well done for the well-deserved accolades for preserving the type.

I'm going to break my own rule here and post two photos in one post (and as the thread starter I am giving myself permission!)

The first is the Pacific coast (in this case Pacific City airport, Oregon)

The second is Kitty Hawk in NC. How many Taylorcraft pilots have flown transcontinental in one calendar year?

Nothing aerial, I would love to get some air-to-air shots and I live in the flatlands of Illinois, so I am sure most of you have seen corn and soybeans. So here is my lovely, (well-trained), wife pulling the airplane back into the hangar after a nice evening flight earlier this year. (What you can't see is that she then wipes the bugs off once Miss Scarlett is back in the hangar.

The second photo is of me a friend snapped at a breakfast fly-in, (Tina was in the little girls room or else she would have been posing with the plane instead).

And, I'm going to be a scofflaw like Rob and post two pictures. Oops.....

2016 was a busy Taylorcraft year for me .

The photo below is me flying up the Hudson, past the WTC site in New York City in the company of Jim Z. It was interesting to read Jeff Skiles' interpretation of the movie "Sully" in the December 2016 edition of the EAA rag. Jeff keeps a 182 at one of my favourite airfields near Rockford IL, and I have met him once or twice...as you would expect, he's very self-effacing and unassuming, and just a regular member of the EAA Chapter.
