  • TCDS 1A9, Model 19 support

I see from the 1A9 TCDS here that the TCDS is owned by "Taylorcraft 2000, LLC 2618 Park Street Lake Worth, FL 33460

Is there any support for the type from this TCDS holder?

On the FAA website you can search the TC http://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Gu...meset?OpenPage

It will show the holders, search by make or model, etc... the Taylorcraft 2000 LLC holds the BC and 1A data. Here is one way to see their status in the eyes of the state of Texas, go to:

Enter in the search term "Taylorcraft 2000".

Alas, disappointment awaits. They have forfeited the right to do business in the great state of Texas.
The mailing address is Brownsville, TX. They are doing business (DBA) as AIRCRAFT TAYLORCRAFT COMPANY, L.L.C.

In the USA businesses have to have a Federal Tax ID but register in the state where are organized. Same for any type of business or non-profit organization. Each state has search tools like the link above.

A generic google search will return this: http://www.taylorcraft.com/about.htm
which is a nice website that has a whole bunch of part pictures loaded and apparently for sale. You can even find a picture of my aircraft with the sales girl model when Jim and Dad flew down there many years ago.

If you google map the office address and then street view it, the Taylorcraft sign is still up. Above the 40' rigs that must be hauling out all the spare parts listed on the website.

If you do the same to the business mailing address it is an apartment behind a closed restaurant.

I have never tried calling or emailing anyone of the 6 contacts listed on the website.

The Taylorcraft 'parts' are no longer offered for sale. It is just a website that apparently is out there for perpetuity, or until someone realizes no one is paying for it.

As discussed on here many times, the last known owner is a Mexican consortium and seemed like they were going to do something but then fell off the face of the Earth. I had a contact number and e-mail, but alas, no answers to either for a long, long time.
      Cheers,
      Marty

Marty, are you referring to TCDS 1A9 (model 19 etc) or TCDS 696 (B models).

        Or both?

Gary, I'm sure that's worthy of a separate discussion. I was seeking information on the TCDS holder for the Model 19 (TCDS 1A9).

            Rob,

I am speaking of the B-model stuff out of Brownsville. I have no knowledge of the Model 19. Though I will hazard a guess Taylorcraft 2000 are one and the same. There was a guy involved in that mess with Harry, I think he was out of Florida. There is some info on the forum about that relationship and the guys name may have been Patrick who had the type certificate for a time??? Of course, Forrest would be the guy to ask.
            Cheers,

              H Rob,

Per the latest revisions of the TCDS, the FAA lists Taylorcraft 2000 LLC as holder of TCDS of both the 696 and 1A Cert.

Taylorcraft Inc. is listed as holding:
              1A11
              A643
              A699
              A700
              TG-6

Lol, Marty, I was just being sarcastic about parts sales, but it was a bit of work put all the part photos up. I check that site it just for "fun" once in awhile as there used to be more photos of N39911. Those part photos seemed to appear earlier this year. Someone put that time in on the website.

                Mark,

Unfortunately, it is too bad those parts are not available. Amazingly, there are still people finding that site and asking if those parts are available here on the forum and Facebook. That is why I wanted to make sure of the clarification.
                Cheers,
                Marty
