      Hi Ryan,

Will you and your dad be there any time during the first part of the week? I'm planning on being there Tues/Wed and would like to see you and the 15 if possible.

      Thanks, Mark

I would like to see a flying model 20 with the stock O-470! It is my understanding that less than 30 were made.
I looked at one, a basket case, a few years ago. I nearly bought it, but when the Judges at Oskosh said that since it was made in 1956 it would not qualify for being judged, regardless of the rarity! A few years later, they got a little smarter and created the "contemporary" category. I don't know what happened to the model 20.
I saw a model 15 at Oshkosh several years ago and it certainly did not get the attention it deserved. It was forced to park nearly at the south end of 18/36.

Yes we are planning on arriving on the 23rd and will leave the following Sat so there all week. Happy to meet anybody who comes by. I'll post where it is parked. We are gathering all info on the 15As. As far as I can tell there are four flying and one I know has not flown in four years but could be made flyable very quickly. Then a couple of projects. So around 7 -9 airframes. Forrest has the original 15 which was a one of a kind and a different type certificate. As for the 20 I have never seen one either. They are as rare. I believe there are less than five airworthy 20s as well from research.

Thanks Ryan, like to see your 15A as I haven't seen one yet but have seen a 20 that was apart in pieces, stored as a "project".

The Vintage in review starts at 11. Each show starts with a WW1 plane and then us so I would guess around 11:30 or so? We follow the WW1 presentation however long that takes. The airplane will be at the VAA barn all day.

If the 15 wing's the same this may be the airfoil section:
