    Re: C-90 crankshaft availability?

O-200A&B and the 90-16 cranks are the same, the 90-14 and earlier models can have a different thrust bearing, similar to the A-65 crank which is interchangeable with the 85. This requires a case mod to accommodate the newer bearings. There are a few different variations for the 200 crank, the D is a light weight, they also changed the thrust bearing from 4 piece to a 2 piece bearing assembly....crap I have way too much dead space in my head to remember all of this....they maybe a few exceptions, that is the generalizations.

Thanks Tim. One further question: Is the crank type (model number?) marked upon it?

        Re: C-90 crankshaft availability?

Just a forging number. I have several 65 cranks, I gave a guy one in trade for his 85, it ground to within spec, but sometime in its life, someone changed it to the wrong thrust bearing and it had a groove that barely came out, it was within .0002 of being bad at the overhaul shop. That is why I keep mentioning the thrust bearings. Tim
