  • Is there a retail source of wing tank fuel valve placards?

Is there a place to go to simply purchase wing tank fuel valve placards?

Not interested in making them just want to purchase some, anyone know of a place to purchase them?

    Thanks, Dave.

I have had good luck with this company over the years. Just let Dennis know what you want made.

    Cheers,

If you know exactly which placard you need (photo) and I have one, I would be glad to loan it to them to copy.

Re: Is there a retail source of wing tank fuel valve placards?

        Hi all,

I am having wing tank placards made for my BC12D.

They will be copies of the ones that I purchased Dorothy Ferris Taylorcraft in the '80s., a scan with size is attached.

The text will likely be black and the background a silvery gray as the originals were.

I have to buy 48 of them and I plan to do that. They will be vinyl, outdoor sign quality, mat finish, sticky back.

I think that I can get a mix of colors within the 48. For example black text/gray background on 12 of them and black text/ tan background on 12 then red text/tan background on 12...

If you are interested in some let me know. Will cost about $1 each plus postage.

          Hi Dave,

I will take four of them in the original color as indicated, (black with silver/grey background). If others are in serious need you can cut that back to two.

Curious, are you using a local company or did you outsource? You can PM me if you don't want to share online. Thanks!
          Cheers,
          Marty

I'd like to get 2, it seems like I got one from Forrest long ago that was made of soft brass, or some metal like that, but after several disasters, I don't think I have it any longer, let me know and address to pay to, gary

I expected to be called to look at the proof copy of the text and boundary lines on Thursday but we are going to get snow so that will delay it I bet.

Should be giving them ok to print and cut them on Friday or Monday I suppose and will post the info at that time.

The brass placards are the early ones used before and just after WW-II. Josh made some and had a method worked out but we lost the tooling and manufacture method when we lost him.
