Wing root fairing cinch bolt

My wing root fairings have these #6 machine screws to draw the two ends of the root fairing together. Do all TCrafts have something similar?

Mine have slotted heads, but otherwise very similar (46 BC12D)

Mine used to be slotted. And I had to reach way into the wing to engage them, only to have my screwdriver slip off if I didn't hold my mouth right. So I welded a socket head machine screw onto the slotted head.

I have seen some where the screw was just a piece of all thread that had a ninety degree bend. When the fairing was tight the bend would be almost touching the aft end of the fairing. You would turn it by just twisting the bent part, sort of like an allen wrench. When the fairing was tight enough you just turn it so the bend is parallel with the aft end of the fairing and leave it. No tools needed.

Mine used to be slotted. And I had to reach way into the wing to engage them, only to have my screwdriver slip off if I didn't hold my mouth right. So I welded a socket head machine screw onto the slotted head.

Mine is a rather common plated screw from the local hardware store that has a phillips head. Easy to keep the screwdriver engaged. I though they were all that way.

Mine is slotted, and having just gone through the exercise twice because I didn't get the fairings completely against the fuselage the first time, I think I like the bent all-thread solution.

At one time I had a pair of root fairings that had a hose clamp cut into, and both pieces were riveted inside the fairing. They came off a flying airplane and are now on one flying in Florida that a friend of mine rebuilt. He said they always remained snug and never loosened up, which was a concern of mine when I gave them to him.

Hi Folks,
Does anyone have photos of the wing root covers and the wedge-shaped gap filler that are off the airplane?
There are several photos of them installed and get me tantalizingly close!
I am having to make them and need some kind of go by.
Are the root covers one piece and just curve around the leading edge then straight back and holding the gap filler in place?
Is the gap filler just aluminum or fabric covered wood or something similar.

Its aluminum, I am going to make mine like a cub and just make a complete 1 piece faring...

I just put my wing root fairings on yesterday and the filler pieces are kind of bent up, and various stripped out screw holes from previous owners all over the two pieces. I was just thinking it would be a better design just to have the fairing flair out at the bottom just to get rid of those filler pieces. It would make a heck of a lot smoother transition from wing to fuse. Any fear of the slipstream getting under the inboard side at the rear and lifting?
