Re: Forum a bit quiet
Bob,
I frequent a couple other forums and they are kind of quiet too. I think because of the holiday "hustle and bustle". My wife and I had a quiet Thanksgiving this year, just the two of us and it was a nice.
Weather has been pretty stormy the last several weeks and I have done very little flying as a result. I went up for an hour and a half yesterday and it sure felt good, a great stress reliever.
Every pilot I have talked too recently is getting very "antsy" and want to get past this transition weather, time of the year. Winters are getting shorter and we don't like it.
How about you? What is happening? Sure want to make a trip to the UK in the future as I have a lot of roots in that neighborhood.

To much turky!
Not enuogh flying!
Not enough gas money.
Cristmas presents comes first.
I did manage sneek out for a short cross country to visit with some other flyers.
This was the first for me to 2 close by airports, and gave me some much need practice on approches to unfamliare air ports.
If the weather just let up?

Re: Forum a bit quiet
direct email thru the forum is disabled to keep the members email addresses private.
A private email to establish contact, and then an exchange of your email address privately is suggested if both parties are consenting and of clear mind.
Can you imagine all the hate mail I would get if mine got out?Bob Ollerton

Re: Forum a bit quiet
Bob,
There is an option in the Messages and Notification setup screen where each individual member can decide whether or not they want to recieve email from other members. All they have to do is choose "NO" if they don't want email from other members.Craig Helm

Re: Forum a bit quiet
Ok, I had about 4 hours to kill between trips to the Tucson airport on Monday so I went over to the Pima Air Museum and took some pictures of the L2 and the Glider...
This is an amazing museum in that they have access to the Davis Monthan AFB Storage facility which is across the street and thru the "big gate".
Lots of stuff outside, like 3 buffs. Inside... a B29

Re: Forum a bit quiet
I also have kinna gien up asking questions. Especially about the factory. Seems no ome want to go there any more. Can't find anyone but me that has placed an order for a new T-Craft, yet Harry has told me he has 10 orders.
WHERE ARE THEY?
Called the factory yesterday, no answer! Have not heard a word from them in over a month. Anyone know ????
Getting worried now.
Flying the Yellow Duck, having fun. The weather is good and bad. Rainning or beautiful days ( like yesterday and today). We will be flying again today. Not going any place, just playing.

Re: Forum a bit quiet
Looks kind of like a support stand for a fuselage. The two "cups" would go under the strut fittings so you could roll it around. If I have the scale wrong (and it's wider than I think) might be for the gear to rest on with the wheels off. Keeps the paint off the tires any way.

Re: Forum a bit quiet
It seems like the real business is being done here. Love you all been real busy with Deaths, crashes, Cancer, Annuals , no snow mucho rain, going to the Taylorcraft Flying Club Winter banquet as their speaker, Patty goes along too! Am writing the Taylorcraft Owners Club insert for the newsletter now , will contact Harry if he does not see this and sends me the latest on the factory. Yes Yellow Duck a few have ordered, many call me for very lenghty discussions.... bye ForrestTaylorcraft Foundation, Inc
