  • Bent gear

Hi tribe. After my little excursion into a solid snow bank, I need to get me gear straightened or at least checked. Does anyone know of a place that has a jig? Many years ago I sent them out to a place in Oklahoma I think. Any help will be appreciated.

How much are they off? I have taken a large pipe an bent the gear back into alignment, then have it checked for cracks. Its amazing how many aircraft flying have a shitty alignment and a tendency to dart off to one side when landing or squat when they are taxied. Tim

        Tim,
When I bought the lady 35 years ago she wanted to make excursions to the weeds. I thought it was my inexperience in tail wheels but it turned out to be a serious toe-out problem. I had them realigned and everything has been good until now. I will check with Wag Aero. First I will do some serious measuring to make sure of what I have.
