You go for a canal trip of course!
The weather has been dreadful all summer here in Europe, but over this weekend just gone, fourteen members of our aero club took a weekend break on two narrow boats in Warwickshire & Northants. Being a club with a very active social scene means that non-aviation activities are common.
The late summer sunshine brought out the rowdiness in some who had been cooped up too long...
The long motor down the fume-filled Braunston tunnel brought tears to the eyes:
A small glass of what does you good:
We found a splendid place to eat one evening, the New Inn at Long Buckby Wharf. The food was excellent, as was the service & humour of the landlord.
We even got some twin time!
We'll probably do this again in the near future! We just hope the weather will be as kind.
