Just a few short weeks ago, I had the great pleasure of being hosted by Bruce & Lenore Caldwell, of this parish, when I was flying my Taylorcraft along the Oregon/Washington border. I will be forever grateful for their hospitality.

We had great insight to the WAAAM Museum in Hood River, thanks to Bruce's contacts. https://www.waaamuseum.org/

Of particular delight to me (as a flatlander Brit) was the stunning falls just down the road from Bruce's house which epitomise salmon returning to their spawning grounds.

And flying around Mt Hood. It's just amazing how these little 65hp Taylorcraft will get to altitude, but slowly!

    I love the Pacific Northwest.
I also got to meet Bruce and his wife when he sold me his lovingly restored BC12-D. Grateful to have met him and hope to go see him this summer so he can fly the plane he built a bit more.
