I tried it years ago, but had no clue what I was doing. Now I at least have an idea, added commercial and flight instructor glider to my resume, but have not tried it. We don't often get days with the big thermals here in the Midwest like they do out West.

Yes, flying in thunderstorm themals is discouraged here in tornado alley. lol
