  • Chili Lunch

    Our EAA chapter is having a chili lunch this Saturday October 14th at KOLY in Southeastern Illinois. Serving from 11-2. The menu includes our secret recipe chili, hot dogs, deserts, and drink. If you are looking for someplace to go this weekend come on out.

    I had this on my calendar Tom, but we're IFR here, guess I'll have to make my own chili. Hope you have a good fly-in!

      Mike, can we perhaps pop into Tom's airfield on the way back from Florida?

      (OK, the chilli will be cold by then , but we could bring ale!)

        Re: Chili Lunch

        The chili lunch went OK. We had Chili left over, and I would be glad to heat some up for you. Mike and Jim stopped on one of their trips. I would be glad to have you if you choose to stop.

          Thanks Tom;
          We'll see what develops.

            Sure thing. I had already modified our route to make our first fuel stop heading southbound at KOLY.

                Tom, Rob and I hope to see you around mid-day on Thursday, November 2nd if you're available, and weather cooperates!

                      Hi Tom, I’m waiting now at ORD for Rob to arrive. It would just be us two, we’re meeting up with Jim in Tennessee on Thursday night. The weather may keep us from getting out tomorrow though. Thanks for asking, we’ll try to let you know what happens as soon as we know!

                        I know weather doesn't look great. I have been doing flight training, in my dad's Taylorcraft with my oldest son on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The forecast for tomorrow doesn't look promising. If you do get to head out in the morning shoot me a call here at the airport. I'll make sure to have some chili ready.

                          Tom, thanks for offering the chili lunch for Rob and I, but we're taking a slightly different route this morning towards St. Louis to skirt around weather. We'll have to catch up with you another day.

                            No problem, just let me know if you decide to stop some other time.
