    Re: WANTED: inside door handles

    Bob,
I have a stack of doors, many with handles, but the last time it took me several days to get one off. A little rust on the shaft and those things are on there TIGHT!
    Do you need them quick?
The oness on the doors are like the top one in the photo. What I am looking for is one like the middle ones.

      Hank-
the only door handles i have (at the moment) are the top ones in your photos. these are mounted on the exterior of my aluminum door.
I'm looking for the interior handles... are these the same?

I am in absolutely no hurry.

      Thanks,
      Bob

        Re: WANTED: inside door handles

The doors I have in the pile have the same handle on the inside as the outside. The ones in the middle in each photo are pre-war outside handles and the bottom one are on the inside. I have seen the bottom ones on other planes with different handles but they have square shafts not round ones like the top one in the pictures.

          Bob,

Inside and outside are the same, at least on the ones I have seen and on two of my planes.

          Hank,

One of those handles are mine! (Reminder).
          Cheers,
          Marty

Was that you I promised a handle to? @(#%*&#(*#!@@
I have one extra one I took off, cleaned up and primed but when I sent the batch out I had one extra! I was afraid I had missed an address. Send me your mailing address to hjarrett (no space) 2 at cox dot net and I will mail it out. Sorry Marty, I KNEW there was someone else on the list!
This next set of handles to remove will be real buggers! I haven't broken one yet trying to get them off, but this next batch is probably going to.

            Hank

When I forget someone, please ping me! My memory isn't what it used to be and I keep missing these things. I have an extra post war "D" window frame drawing here and can't find my note on who was supposed to get it (no, I had a post it for you Gary, just no address to mail it to). If I owe someone something, please remind me.

I am REALLY understanding how Forrest feels. I have NO idea how he keeps up with all the requests!

              Re: WANTED: inside door handles

Marty, was it you I was supposed to send the trim indicator parts to? I just found your address with the handle in the box of trim parts (I saved the handle because I KNEW the person who was supposed to get it would show up again). I also already have your address (it was in the box).
Can you believe I send probes to other planets? I am amazed I can find my pants in the morning.

Yes to all of the above! I was just being patient to wait to hear from you. Address on its way.

                          Bob,
I found it just before you sent it. I had put the handle in the box with the original trim parts and had the address there. I am doing a new spread sheet of peoples addresses, phone and emails so maybe I can reduce the clutter on my desk and in my head. The trim parts aren't made yet, but I can send the handle anytime you need it.

I recieved the drawing for the "D" window, Thanks! Checks in the mail.

Any luck on the door handles? I'm looking for 2 that are used on the larger aluminum BC12D doors.
Im getting a few items cleaned up and ready for the chromer, Including the door handles.

                            Thanks!

                              Re: WANTED: inside door handles

I have about half a dozen handles, just can't get them off the doors. I am playing with some different penetrating oils and a tool to help press the pins out (hopefully without breaking the handles). I hate to tear the doors up getting the handles loose, plus the old shaft would still be jammed in the handle.
