Need lrear lift struts

Anyone close to Southern WI have any of the smaller rear struts that did not pass inspection? I need (2) to cut down for my Pietenpol. Nearly ready to mount the wings. Thanx.

Mike, I have both front and rear struts that probably are OK, I just didn't want the hassle of inspecting them every so often so I put new sealed ones on.

I am pretty sure I have some damaged ones but need to know how long a good section you need for the Piet. If mine can be cut where they are good and be long enough it could be an option. Dr says no airplane stuff till the knee is healed so I can't get to the barn to measure for at least a week.

If they are short enough it shouldn't be that expensive to ship.

I need the full length struts as I added 4ft to the wingspan of the Piet. I am going to look at some rear Cub struts this evening that are local. I should have a better idea of my needs by tomorrow.
