Re: Trim Parts and fuel cut off safety clip tracings

Got it now. The "spoon" end goes through a slot in the stringer and that is the pivot. The threaded "tab" rises and falls when the crank is turned. As that end rises and falls the horizontal slot in the opposite end from the "spoon" rises and falls too and that moves the crank on the wire up and down. The crank turns the up and down into rotation so the wire swings back and forth in front of the trim indicator plate in the cockpit.
The long piece with teh slot, tab and spoon is simply twisted 90* at the "spoon" end so it is horizontal to go through the stringer slot and vertical over the rest of its length so it is stiff enough to move the crank, but not so strong it won't bend if the indicator system jams.

The B12 A137 arm is a simple flat strip with a 90* twist in the end so it can pivot in the stringer slot. It is horizontal at the "spoon" end and vertical for the rest of it's length so it will be stiff enough to not bend from the load of the cranked wire, but weak enough that if the indicator system jams you can turn the crank and bend it.
The stringer slot is fore and aft and the "spoon" end just sticks thorugh and is a bit loose.

Sorry about the double post. I tried to correct the "teh" to the and the post disappeared, so I just re-wrote it, at which time BOTH came back. I never did like computers!
