I bought a pair at Oshkosh a few years ago. It was probably Dave that made them. I have not fitted yet as don't have the plane ready.
My original BC12D that I bought and flew in 1964 was missing the covers. At that time I bought a pair from Univair. They were probably NOS.

        Silvano,

I’ll be at Oshkosh. I usually stop and visit with David. I’ll get a business card from him and send you the information you need. That is, unless someone responds to you sooner.

Just call him, I don't think he has the time to email much I've always called him so give him a ring. His son is on Facebook on the Taylorcraft FB page, Maxwell Wenglarz.
          Cheers,
          Marty

Peter, make an appointment to get your lower cowl built. I would be a fun flight for you! and dont forget, 1 case of G Heilman's Old Style!

Send a copy to me as well. I'm also looking for a cowl for my '46 BC12-D.
              Later!!

Don't you hate it when you can't come up with something witty or profound for your signature??

Looks like enough people are tired of their patched up lower cowls to look at a mass buy. Might save a bit that way per cowl.

Why get a new one? To be honest, I like the patches that Tim has made my lower cowl. The non-painted silver patches with multiple rivets give it the look of a tired, battle-worn airplane. ;-)

I am definitely interested in wing root fairings.
if they are still being made
