That is a neat system to remove the LAST tie after you are in the cockpit but I didn't trust the design to be the ONLY tie down while I was propping. I was worried if the engine started faster than an idle the vibration could shake the pin out.
I REALLY like a solid tie to the passenger lift handle IN ADDITION TO the pull in tie to the pilot side handle. You aren't relying on the pull in rope alone until the engine is running and smooth and by that time you won't be going in front of the plane again.
