Anyone have a nice LH doorstep and/or prewar door handle assby for sale?

Mike,I have the handles and parts that fit the tube metal doors if you want to make copies. The outside handles are teardrop shaped with a square shaft that goes through teh hole in the door. The end is threaded for an acorne nut and a hammered piece of flat steel with a square hole is the inside handle and latch.
Pretty simple to make if you don't mind casting the teardrop in resin instead of metal.

I have some outside handles like you probably need but no inside latch handle. I'll check my inventory tomorrow for a step.

You might try Wag Aero for the step-They said several months ago they would start producing them and they show to stock them now in the on line catalog.

I'll make one before I let myself pay $125 for that new step. There is about $10 worth of tubing and 5 minutes of TIG in that step.

Hi Mike,

I have a LH step for you for $30. And I have an NOS outer handle with the original tag still attached. The inner latch handle with this is for a later pre-war ship. It does not match what you have but matches two others that came off my plane. Maybe your inside latch style was made just for the '38 or someone made it up for a replacement. In any case, if you want that entire assembly I'll take $30 for that plus shipping. Sound fair to you?

I understand- just thought I would let you know in case you couldn't find or make one. I noticed they have landing gear now too(looks like by the number for straight axle) -not inexpensive either but really good to know they are available.
