climb prop wanted

i know its a long shot but im looking for a climb prop for my 85 hp T. my prop is a sensenich 72 48 and not cutting it up here in ak on skis. hoping to find something about 74 40 (yes i know its not legal). thanks, Lincoln

If you are going to throw any prop on there, why not think about a mac 75*38, or a sensi 74 or 76 incher. My 65hp swings a 74*38 (forget who it was made by right now), it works great.

yeah those are good props, the mac 75 38 has round tips, so does the sens 76-2-38, and i have heard that the square tip mac 74 40 actually performs as well or better on takeoff in the rpm range (2500ish) of the 85 and has more meat to file off over time before its out of service limits. Im not too picky right now though as anything that gives me more rpms than the 2150 Im getting would be an improvement.

ha yeah, thanks tim. it will probably come to that but the piggy bank is not quite there yet, i would be curious about a quote though on the sensenich if its not too much trouble. That prop could possibly be field appproved as i believe its on the type cert for a c-85 on a cessna 120 or something.

I priced them for an STC that I was going to persue and they were about 3200 new. Tim
