Re: Wooden Prop for O-145 Needed
Howard, shoot for the 36" pitch, unless it is an old prop. When I restored my BL I ordered a new W70LY38, and it would not even turn up in flight with the nose down. After many talks with Sensenich and checking other props they built me a W70LY36 to minimum specifications. It worked like it should. I think somewhere between when these airplanes were new and now the way they measure the props has changed.

yes we have all learned that the old props and the new ones do not "measure" up to the specs.... Apparently the older blanks that they use for the profiling have changed. The A-40 props are the most noticable.
NEW 70-36 should work fine.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc

Yet Sensenich will claim nothing has changed. At least that's what the told me 15 years ago. I did send them an un-airworthy 70x38 to measure, and it measured more like a 70x34. The 70x38 I sent them really worked good in the airborne ground test that I did.Tom
