This item will be snapped up faster than a T-bone in my dog's dinner bowl I'd buy it myself but I already have both wing tanks. Enjoy, Eric

How about a link. I can't afford it now but I have never even seen one. I have an old tank in my hangar that no one knows what it is from. Maybe I have a "treasure". ;-)

What are you guys "talking" about. Is this a seat with a fuel tank built into it? Where does it go?

I flew a crop duster that had a seat built into the hopper, but I have never heard of such a thing on a Taylorcraft. I would love to see a picture of this.

How many pounds of paperwork does it take to get something like this approved.

The tank is under the baggage area I think . Page 87 in The Taylorcraft
Story descibes a 6 gallon tank with a wobble pump as a factory option in 1940.

It's a round steel barrel shaped tank that goes under the baggage sling, you operate a wobble pump on the floor to transfer gas to the main tank.

Imagine sitting there wobbling along with your left hand on the wheel and your right hand down between your legs pumping up and down for quite a while and looking out the left window at a Cessna 170 with four people starring at you It happened to another member ; Honest!!! I ahve used that in my talks quite a few times. My wife and I just bought a 1940 BC-65 (N26636) with a factory 6 gal aux tank under the seat. The "wobble pump" installed is a regular AC engine-driven fuel pump. What kind of "wobble pump" came with this option? Any "modern" replacements?

That little AC pump is what they had. You could maybe come up with an electric, but approval might be a problem.

Well, gotta figure something out -- currently takes 1000 strokes for 2.9 Gals. Old article on red T-Craft in EAA Vintage Aircraft Magazine tracks with the inefficiency of the system. No wonder they went with wing tanks - Duh. Gotta come up with something more usable. Perhaps the AC fuel pump not working correctly, although former owner said the pump was rebuilt last year.
