Project BC 12 D for sale

Sadly, I have to part with my BC 12D project. It had some damage in a forced landing and the damage has been repaired.
There are many spare parts included, many from a damaged model 19 that I bought for parts and to upgrade the Bc !2 D with some later features Everything goes in the sale.
I am selling because I timed out! I am now 87 with lots of problems and need to sell so my wife doesnt have to deal with it when I am gone. I have had both hips broken and simply cant get in an airplane.

Airplane is complete. Airframe ism very low time foe a BC12D at 1930 Hours. Engine A65-8 is also 1930 hrs since new with 1124 SMOH New Slick Magneto Kit Nov. 1999. 289 hours
Carburetor NA-S3A replaced with D & G overhauled Marvel Schebler P/n10-42
!980 Ceconite on right wing and fuselage Outer paint layer is peeling on fuselage.

Hate to hear you are letting her go. We are all getting older and it seems it is coming at us faster every day. Hope you find someone local so you will have a chance to see her resurrected and maybe get a chance to go up again with her new caretaker. Not looking forward to this happening to me, but I guess it is coming for all of us. I keep thinking I should be letting go of some of my projects so Debbie won't be stuck with all of them. Let us all know when she finds a new home (the plane, not your wife!) ;-)

Thank you Hank and Peteroy for your responses. I sold my Mooney last Thursday to a dealer and still have my Lycoming 180 powered Stinson, but it is in Texas yet and I have not been there for almost a year now. I had not been on this site for 3 or 4 years and had some difficulty in getting back on.

Like most on this site sometimes we come across pilots looking for an aircraft. Since you mentioned damage, is the Tcraft airworthy? Can it be ferried or is it disassembled?

we are looking for a tcraft project for full historically correct restoration, we need to start with complete logs. if your logs are good we are interested. we have been looking for a 41 deluxe but no luck

Thank you for your inquiry. I am afraid this one will not meet your requirements. Logs only go back to Feb 13, 1959. The Total airframe and engine time is 1930 hrs which is pretty low time for a BC 12 D as many were used for training. I did not intend to restore historically correct, but am now too old to continue.

The idea of "complete" logs is a high level requirement. VERY few planes have actual complete logs, especially Taylorcrafts from around WW-II. I have a 42 that has been restored to pretty close to what rolled out of the factory and a 45 in restoration. I am just a tad crazy about trying to get everything back to original (OK, those who know me well stop laughing, I know I am absolutely obsessed with it). If you can get a plane with records back to the early 50s you have the basis for a really accurate restoration. There are a LOT of details I have put back in my 42 Deluxe and parts I have made for both planes. GO FOR IT!! Thee is support and drawings in this group and the one on Facebook. A lot of the backdating can even be done while the plane is being flown.
