  • Taylorcraft jig

I have seen posts about fuselage jigs. I was at a plane / Tcraft parts sale today, and there is a fuselage jig available. You can view it at
    www.earthbasezero.me/aviation/springbird .
It was at the Taylorcraft factory at one time.
If you are interested, I can put you in touch with’Bruce’s widow. It will go quite reasonable, just like the many parts she sold today. I would be willing to help trailer it towards your way.

A friend of Bruce also has a pair of prewar wings.

OWK, Norridgewock Maine. We REALLY need to get SOMEONE to rescue these parts and tools. Too many times tooling that would have been invaluable to the Tribe have been lost. Even if we can only get them to someplace to store so they don't end up in a scrap metal heap!

Nope. They won’t end up in some metal pile, that is why I am reaching out for Cheryl, as she too wants to see the jig and plane parts go to individuals that will use them. I can store them them in my hanger if need be (within walking distance across the taxiway from where they are now). I can see I need to take inventory of at least the Tcraft stuff (quite a bit of experimental stuff too) and get that posted for her and the tribe.

The Subaru powered Tcraft looks intriguing. What is the story on it?

Agree on the preserving. Of Taylorcraft Jigs prints or other important History of the Taylorcraft, with the internet and groups like this they will remain for future use to us.

I believe the Subaru powered Tcraft went to an EAA chapter.

I live in eastern VT and have space to store these jigs. LMK if they still need to be stored.
