  • Seeking BC-12D parts in Texas

Hello fellow Taylorcraft enthusiasts. We are putting a 1946 BC-12D back into service. We need virtually all the steel parts for a right wing. We could use wing fairings, and a left landing gear leg. ('Amyone have a propeller for sale? A-65-8 engine...) Struts? What is the best source of new wing struts?
    Thank you!

I believe Univair sales them. When the AD came out there price was around the factory price, whom I believe never delivered any. They reduced there price to around AirFrames in Alaska. I purchased from Airframes but the company has been sold. Try searching “wing struts”. You can buy a new wood prop from Aircraft spruce. You’ll be a little slower but get more complements.

Make your own wing fairings, landing gear is only available from univair, some weld a supporting brace on the diagonal of the gear, see the 337 in the tech reference section of the taylorcraft.org website, not the forum. The wing hige is maybe available from univair, they are crazy expensive. Good luck, if your gear is repairable, I will eventually get to making a repair jigs to weld up repairs. Tim

Hang on to the old unsealed or damaged ones guys. The day we can repair them is near. Repair by replacing the streamlined tube and sealing the end fittings/
