        Hello,
I'm in need of the 3 aileron hinge brackets and the bell crank for the right wing. Is there any chance you have any of these or know of someone who does.

        Regards, Ron.

If you don't mind, can we chat and talk about some of your parts? I'd like the pre-war flapper system depending on what kind of shape it is in. Might be easier to talk about anything else you have versus giving you a long list. Just send me a PM or I can send you my number.

I need lift struts for B model, something I can use for pattern is fine. And also Firestone brake stuff for left side.
                Thanx,

Pretty much everything for left side, minus wheel and drum.

Georgia is a bit far for shipping if you are trying to move struts. They have to be shipped in a pretty stiff shipping tube. I have a stack of struts in my hangar in SE Virginia and you are welcome to a couple. There was a mandatory inspection years ago for corrosion damage and a lot of struts were scrapped. We tried to get the FAA to understand that the guy pushing to have all the struts changed out was just trying to build a war chest to finance his re-opening of Taylorcraft production (he failed miserably and it never happened). New "Sealed" struts were developed by several companies and I ended up with a lot of struts hoping we could get approval to build new struts from damaged ones as a repair. The ends are the difficult part to make and are also the parts that survive corrosion attack well. The plan was to cut the end fittings off, grind away the remaining streamline tube and weld in new tube. A fixture was designed but demand for new struts died out as people put on new sealed struts. In "my opinion" (for what it is worth) the 43.13 should allow this to be done as a "repair". The fixture was a large "I" beam that the end fittings were pinned to and the new streamline tube welded in. Prior to attaching the end fittings they can also be "sealed" eliminating future re-inspections. A pull test was also proposed to proof test all repaired struts and a test fixture was designed for that.
If you are interested in making "repaired" struts you are welcome to the struts I have but I don't know how much market still exists. Also be advised that there are TWO DIFFERENT ANGLES possible for the strut ends. You would need to try both angle struts to determine which your plane needed. The fixture can be used to make either one.

Probably a LOT more info than you need to make your decision but honestly buying a new set of struts will cost you less and be quicker in the short run. If you want to start a strut repair program I am willing to provide the engineering. I just doubt it will be worth it unless the new struts are no longer available.

Do you have a rear seat control stick that will fit a L2B Taylorcraft?
