  • B Series Parts for Sale or Trade

Finishing up the restoration of my Clipwing and finding many extra parts on hand- also realizing that I need a few items as well. I'll try to post pictures of everything I have and also add a description.

Out of frustration in finding servicable spar to fuselage attach fittings, I built several sets. Almost all the ones I could find had corrosion, damaged holes, or suffered from being over torqued. I made these on the CNC and a jig to the exact dimensions of the stock BC12-D parts out of 4130. Once I tooled up, I made several sets. With that said- I do not have any faa approval for these as my airplane is experimental. The good news is that in the process of making these I found a few sets of very nice factory fittings that are extra to my needs and those are for sale also. I plan to keep just one set of the ones I built.

I need the following parts and would prefer to trade some of my extra parts for them:
    1) a set of cast aluminum heel brake pedals
    2) a set of jury strut adjusters (P/N A-819)
    3) Aileron pushrod tubes and associated ball joint hardware

    Parts I have extra are:
    1) Set of wheel fender/ pant mounts ($50)
    2) Set of D windows to include all frames and hardware as removed from my clipwing ($200)
    3) Qty of 4 compression tubes- excellent condition ($25 ea)
    4) 2 aircraft sets of CNC wing to fuselage attach brackets. Not FAA approved but identical to original ($200 per set) (The CNC parts are not epoxy primed in the pics)
    5) Qty 5 front spar to fuselage attach brackets, excellent condition, epoxy primed ($50 ea)
    6) Qty 3 rear spar to fuselage attach brackets, excellent condition, epoxy primed ($50 ea)
    7) Qty 3 front spar to strut attach fittings- epoxy primed, good condition ($30 ea)

Willing to ship for actual cost.

Looks like the windows may be gone and I have a set of brake pedals.

I'll have to measure the thickness next time I am at the hangar.

The front spar fittings are .080, rear are .063.

The Gilberti/Harer STC requires 0.090 (I seem to remember) so yours would be no good for someone upgrading via that STC on a Standard Category (I know that yours is Experimental, so doesn't apply).

Hope you are well Eric, it was good to see you here in the UK a few years ago. How's Ellie (sp.) doing after her tour at Lakenheath?

Hey Rob- was really good to see you over in the UK as well. I still consider that flight as one of my all time favorites! Beautiful countryside. Addie left the UK and was assigned to Japan. She just recently got out and is doing great. Working on her masters and interviewing for some jobs in the aerospace industry.

Next time you are headed this way I'd love to return the favor! Merry Christmas-
