Dr. Tim, maybe that's why they are advertised as Non airworthy but complete

I guess that my point was that it is a lot of work to change spars if they are bad.

As a side note, my airplane had every rib that needed to be repaired due to corrosion on the upper surface of each rib, between the fabric and the rib, everywhere there was rib lacing, the humidity just ate the prewar ribs. I would inspect before buying...

Looks like something is a "bit" off. That is NOT a BC12 airfoil. Look at the area in front of the front spar. The Taylorcraft had a Phillips entry (curved up in front of the front spar). The first link shows a wing that is almost flat on the bottom. Also the holes in the ribs are shaped wrong.

I think I agree with Hank, there were several planes being built in that time frame, Funk, Porterfield, probably others, I wonder cause so much doesn't look Tcraft, though the wing tip does

The first wing (tag says #8), I believe is a Champ wing.

I emailed them on the 2 that I identified that were not Taylorcraft, they did have 2 pairs that still were what looked like Taylorcraft wings, one was a mix of prewar and post war ribs, another set was covered but had the right airfoil shape.
