Where are you located? Any serial numbers (On the back of the throttle plate)? Could we get more pictures of the dual heel brake setup on the one?
I'm so far behind, I think I'm ahead

The dual cable brakes is ingenious and simple. Was it a factory option?

I was told it was used on a few factory planes and my 45 sure looks like the same welds all over. There ARE problems with keeping them in rig and the danger of a passenger resting their feet on the pedals and you not being able to see it. I want to put them back in on mine, but also want to be able to lock the pedals so a Young Eagle (or a Bald Eagle) can NOT push them. Landing with the brakes on gets expensive real fast.

In around 1000 hours of flying dad's 41 with dual brakes I have never had an issue with a passenger getting on the brakes.

I have had a cable slip in a clamp before, but that is not a dual brake issue. I have not noticed any critical rigging issues with the dual brake either, in fact there isn't much to the rigging at all. That is in 20 plus years of operation.

Do those have any paperwork associated with them? Where in Colorado?
