  • L-2 Wing Tanks

Anybody out there know what a set of L-2 wing tanks are worth? Sorry to say I GAVE these to a friend thinking they were the right ones for his Piper. He couldn't get them to fit and one of his buddies recognized them as L-2 wing tanks. Sorry I gave them away before I realized what they really were, I would have rather passed them on to the group. Anyone here know what he can get for them and is anyone interested in them?

    Re: L-2 Wing Tanks

Hank, there are two L-2 tanks. The tanks are the same except that the L-2M tanks have tube mounted just aft of the front spar and runs parallel to the spar. It's purpose is for the spoiler control to run throught the tank. The value is determined by the condition and what the buyer is willing to pay. In good condition it should be 100.00 each and up. Re: L-2 Wing Tanks

Hank, if your friend cannot use them, should he not do the honourable thing and return them to you?

Eric, I like your slogan "Life's great in a '38" ...so
        Life's fine in a '39,
        Life's naughty in a '40 but it's a bum in a '41
Love is true in a '42 but not yet free in a '43.
and in a '44 we hoped for more but in '45 we came alive...
        ...ain't life a bitch in '46?
